Overview of ISX

What is ISX?

'The philosophy behind ISX is to deliver meaningful information to the people who need it, wherever they are seeking the involvement of ALL personnel in the energy management program.

ISX is a gateway to simplifying operational and administrative management, ensuring everyone can see the positive impact small behavioural changes can make. '

Graham Bell. MD Optimal Monitoring

Introduction
The Optimal ISX system is a fully managed life cycle solution for the collection, reporting and analysis of environmental, utility and energy data.

ISX is an automated system used for measuring utility consumption, costs and emission levels that can also send alarm messages direct to designated personnel in the event of power supply failure, the downtime of your equipment, or if consumption deviates from your normal levels, thus warning you of an equipment or supply issue, or a change in the utility usage that you may wish to investigate.

Tailored to individual users
Key to the ISX system is providing a diverse solution from a single platform, but in a way that each user feels the system has been tailored specifically for them. So whether an Estate Manager, Energy Manager, Finance Manager, office worker or pupil, all users can become actively involved in the process of managing and saving energy.

The ISX system is more than just a software solution, providing the people and processes to deliver, and ensure the continued delivery of utility and environmental data to a wide variety of users in a simple to understand format.

Involve everyone in the program to reduce this use.
Show everyone what is being achieved.
Seek out the best performers.
Use the best performers to educate others.
Quickly identify where effort is needed.
Measure the benefits of initiatives.
Quickly warn when things go wrong.
Provide simple, accessible tools to analyse the information.
Minimise effort when all is well, maximise help and guidance when things are not.

Automatic Reporting and historical logging
In addition to user access to data, reporting and alerting, the system utilises a number of automated reports and operational processes to ensure data is consistently collected and reported upon and that this data is consistent with historic data collected from the same source. This ensures that as well as providing data to the system’s users, the ISX solution provides the necessary support services to assist end users in maintaining energy efficient operations, with minimal impact on their day to day operations.

A clear view
ISX provides you with information that you may not have been able to access in the past, or which has been difficult or costly to obtain or is out of date by the time you get it. ISX gives you live data from your chosen monitoring points – updated every 30 minutes, day and night - that can be accessed via any web-linked computer, anywhere, any time and simultaneously by any number of authorised personnel.

Quickly pinpoint waste and areas of cost saving
With the information provided by ISX you can pinpoint areas of unusual or wasteful consumption and then take remedial action to reduce the level of utilities’ usage, thus cutting your costs and at the same time also reduce your carbon emissions.
