Optimal in the News! Instrumentation

As tensioInstrumentationn continues to rise over changing government legislations, our MD, Duncan Everett, is once again calling for action!

Duncan has written a letter to express his concerns over the government’s approach to energy targets and it has been featured on Instrumentation, part of Connected Industry. Instrumentation covers all aspects of control, instrumentation, test and measurement, including energy management.

Within the letter Duncan explains that current legislation does not help to motivate users to reduce consumption. It needs to be realised that delivering carbon efficiency and stimulating economic growth are not conflicting goals. Energy efficiency, through closer monitoring and reporting of existing consumption, enables direct savings, therefore releasing cash that can be invested elsewhere. In the current climate, that’s got to be a win-win!
