ISX was developed by the Optimal Group of Companies, specialists in the field of communications and environmental monitoring. The group was established in 1993 and is well known and respected in the industry, with clients around the globe.

The Optimal Monitoring brand was set up in 2002 to develop applications to take advantage of the advances in wireless communications and other technology changes used in conjunction with its core technology heritage.

It was anticipated there would be a need for an advanced yet easy to use utilities monitoring system, to simplify access to environmental data for organisations wanting to create behavioural change. This was particularly timely, as awareness of climate change and the urgent need to cut utility consumption and carbon emission levels increased. After detailed research and investment, Optimal Monitoring designed and developed ISX as a totally web-based monitoring system, using cable-free, radio signal technology at the client’s site.

The group operates from its headquarters building in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, where it prides itself on still providing a personalised, quality service to clients and prospective clients alike.
